Jon Bon Jovi recently went on the "Katie" talk show with Katie Couric and opened up about what he went through when his 19-year-old daughter had a heroin overdose.
It was "the worst phone call ever," he said about the ordeal. Bon Jovi's daughter, Stephanie Bongiovi, was found unresponsive in her college dorm room in upstate New York, with a small amount of heroin in the room.
Charges were later dropped thanks to a good samaritan law that says people who call 911 for a drug-related medical emergency can't be charged. But that didn't exactly comfort Stephanie's famous father, who told Katie Couric that hearing the news was "the worst phone call ever."
"She's doing great," Bon Jovi said of his daughter. "The problem is much more prevalent than I knew," he said. "I cannot get over how many people I've met that said 'my son' or 'my daughter.'"
"There is a lot of pressure on kids these days," he said.
The 51-year-old rocker said after something like this you surround them with help and love and then move on, which is the point that Bon Jovi is at today. "Steph is a great kid," said the proud papa.
Seperately, Bon Jovi has listed his Manhattan duplex on the market for a cool $42 million. Check out photos and details here.
