Are Julia Roberts and husband of 13 years Danny Moder headed for divorce? But there's an interesting twist to this story with the Pretty Woman actress being linked to her former fiancé Kiefer Sutherland allegedly serving as her shoulder to cry on at this trying time.
Rumors about trouble in paradise have been confronting the couple for years, and the controlling and overbearing approach of the actress to the relationship is said to play a major part in this. This time, Moder is reported to have left their home to make some personal and relationship reassessments.
The couple is married for 13 years now and according to the latest October 12 issue of In Touch, the couple are struggling to be on the same page over Danny's need to have his own career and this is made worse with his inability to attend family events because of work.
"He's always been hellbent on pulling his own weight, but Julia feels they are financially set and he should be there full-time for her and the kids.
"They're having a crisis because she doesn't think he is spending enough time with the family...There's never been more strain on their marriage than there is right now.
"Julia and Danny love each other deep down, but the impasse over his working while she wants him as a full-time husband and dad could be a deal-breaker that brings them to divorce."
Amidst the brewing tension, an additional controversy is threatening the marriage with Sutherland getting in the picture as Robert's confidant with Danny moving out of the house. Despite their nasty breakup in 1991, Kiefer and Julia are said to have already made amends, tells OK! Magazine.
"Julia's been pouring her heart out to Kiefer...He's helping her forget her marriage troubles."
