The popular American political TV drama "House of Cards" is reportedly set to return for Season 4 next year, but as early as now, various plot rumors and spoilers for the show have been circulating online. Recent reports state that Michael Kelly's character, Doug, will be killed off in the upcoming season. It was also said that along with new characters, Frank (Kevin Spacey) and Claire's (Robin Wright) former allies will come back to take them down.
According to Crossmap, the power couple will be facing a lot of enemies in the upcoming season. It was previously reported that Neve Campbell will be part of the cast and will serve as a threat to Frank and Claire. However, along with Campbell's character, the report states that the couple's formal political allies, Remy (Mahershala Ali) and Jackie (Molly Parker) will come back in Season 4, and they will reportedly form a new team to bring Frank and Claire down.
Meanwhile, International Business Times has previously reported that Frank may eventually kill Doug Stamper (Michael Kelly) because his relationship with Frank was stained in Season 3. Frank is known to kill off people who threaten to expose his "nefarious" activities in the previous seasons, and it is speculated that Doug may be Frank's next victim in Season 4.
In line with this, Kelly has addressed the rumors and admitted that he doesn't really know the fate of his character in "House of Cards." In an interview with Inquisitr, he said that the show doesn't hesitate on killing great characters, so no one can really tell who's going to die next season. "I was alive at the end of three, that's all I can say. I wouldn't be surprised if Beau was behind my bedroom door right now. I put nothing past him," he said.
"House of Cards" Season 4 is expected to return in March 2016, after its premiere was supposedly pushed back from the original February 2016 release date.
