Die-hard players and avid fans of "Fallout 4" can now pre-order the game's DLC for Xbox One. The DLC is priced at $30, and players can pre-order it via the Xbox Marketplace, a report from Gamespot said on Friday.
It can be recalled that Bethesda has earlier announced that the "Fallout 4" DLC season pass will have multiple expansions for the main game, which will be launched in 2016. In the Xbox Marketplace, players can also purchase the "Fallout 4" Digital Deluxe Bundle which will be sold for $90. Players who already pre-ordered the game's Digital Deluxe Bundle will no longer need to buy the season pass; otherwise, they will be charged twice.
Gamespot reports that aside from the free downloadable contents, Bethesda is also planning to roll out free regular updates to the game. This is reportedly the same with what they had implemented before for "Skyrim," when the company introduced major and minor fixes as well as additional post-launch features.
"Since we're still hard at work on the game, we don't know what the actual DLC will be yet, but it will start coming early next year. Based on what we did for Oblivion, Fallout 3, and Skyrim, we know that it will be worth at least $40, and if we do more, you'll get it all with the Season Pass," Bethesda said, as quoted in the report.
"The most important thing to take away from this is that no one is forcing gamers to buy Fallout 4's Season Pass and DLC. From a financial perspective, making the content available for early purchases is just a smart business move that's done in order to assist in sales projections. However, it might have been best for Bethesda to have waited to let the pre-orders go live simultaneously for all platforms so as to avoid fans' potential cries that the company is playing favoritism," Gamerant noted.
"Fallout 4" is scheduled to be released on Nov. 10 for PC, PlayStation 4, and Xbox One.
