The relocation of the Food Giant may have an impact on the real estate industry of the metro area of Omaha.
According to the report of KETV 7, Jenna Jacupke, who works for Berkshire Hathaway Home-Service Ambassador Real Estate said that the move of ConAgra to transfer in Chicago will mostly affect the higher-end market more than the rest of the market.
"I think people are going to be OK as long as they understand they might need to be more competitive with price," said Jacupke.
Real estate experts believe that the relocation of the food giant will result to the influx of real estate listings in the Omaha area due to the transfer of more than 300 possible employments. But, the experts advised the panic and put their homes on the listings right away.
In a report from WOWT News, Nebraska Realty said that the transfer of the food company will have a huge impact to Omaha if occurred 3 years ago. At present, Omaha have been setting records in the real estate market with the number of homes that have sold.
Andy Alloway, president of Nebraska Realty said that price appreciation at present as too good and not sustainable but it is worth it for those who are selling homes right now. "Price it right. If it's priced right, it's going to sell for the condition it is in. So what is the condition of the property, what should we be, where should we be priced? So go talk to a professional and find out. That is really the key to a successful sale," said Alloway.
"The fact is our inventory in our Omaha market is really low right now, and so we can afford to have some more properties come on the market," Alloway added. "It may not be the right time to do anything right now, and I think that's part of what we need to help advice on."
