One of the backup dancers of Taylor Swift for her 1989 tour, Toshi Davidson, posted an instagram photo of his 13-month-old nephew named Ayden who has been diagnosed with Cancer. He also shared a link to the Gofundme page for the little angel.
Taytay being herself, instantly donated $50,000 to the account a few hours later, making it $30,000 more of the $20,000 they intended to raise.
Ayden, according to the Gofundme page, was diagnosed of Cancer recently after being in the ICU for almost 2 weeks. The doctors believed that he just had pneumonia after finding fluids in his lungs, however, cancer cells have been diagnosed in the fluids extracted from his lungs. His mom left her job in order to be by his side throughout his treatments.
Lindsey Licari, Ayden’s mother, posted on the page, “Once we determine the type of cancer we can come up with the action plan. I want to take a moment and thank everyone for all your contributions, prayers, and thoughtful words. Ayden has an enormous battle ahead of him, and an army of people who love him behind him so we cannot loose. Taylor you have taken an enormous weight off my shoulders by allowing me to walk this journey with my son and be his protector. I know this is a battle you are familiar with but something no one can be prepared for. So thank you so much from the bottom of my heart. I will be forever grateful to Taylor and each and every person who made a contribution to Ayden's fight.”
“Thank you to all of you who have contributed in any manner to help us with Ayden's care. The last 24 hours has been amazing just watching all the love that came pouring in from all walks of life and from all countries around the world. You have helped us gain hope and faith and belief by showing us that there are so many of you out there that have sent prayers and funding which made us feel a little bit lighter. Therefore we have a little bit less tears to cry today. The Brown and Davidson family are extending open arms to everyone for a huge hug. And Taylor I will see you in person to give you the biggest hug and kiss ever for you are purely a gem with the biggest heart,” says Tosha Davidson.
In another comment of Davidson, she thanked Toshi for spreading the word about Ayden's plight to his many friends in the entertainment industry all around the world.
After Swift made the donation, Swifties all over the world are also starting to help. The determination of Ayden’s family and Swift’s generosity sparked inspiration to donate to the fund.
If we can recall, Swift has been generously funding Gofundme accounts which led to the change in the donation limit from $15,000 to $50,000.
