Fans of Elena Gilbert may be delighted to know that Nina Dobrev's character will still have an impact in the "The Vampire Diaries" season 7. Moving back from "TVD" season 6 when Elena said goodbye and shared a final kiss with Damon, many think that this is the end of her journey in Mystic Falls but fans are in for a surprise.
As spoiled by IB Times, it seems that her body which was kept safely in a crypt and been protected by Bonnie's spell in the finale of the sixth episode is now in the qualms of danger. Paul Wesley who portrays Stefan in "The Vampire Diaries" reveals more of what to expect in the coming episodes.
In the article of TV Insider, Wesley spoiled that Dobrev will still have a major part on TVD season 7 of the hit vampire drama. "Elena's still a very big part of the story," he said.
Apart from this, he also revealed that Damon will sense that Elena's body which was locked up is now in the nick of danger. And he's trying to do everything to save Elena's body which might probably be a target of Lily and the heretics.
"Her body's in danger in the first few episodes, and Damon is doing everything he can to make sure it stays safe if and when she wakes up. We all had imagined this complete reboot where Elena was gone, but she's talked about so much!" Wesley said in the article of TV Insider.
Ian Somerhalder who plays Damon Salvatore in the "The Vampire Diaries" series hinted on the previous article of ET Online dated Sept. 17 about how Dobrev's character will still live on as a major factor for the seventh season.
"There is a really incredible evolution of the story that is going to happen and she's still within the story," Somerhalder said, "She's very much present in the hearts and the mind of all the characters."
"The Vampire Diaries" season 7 storyline which reportedly centers on the Salvatore brothers may also be facing another dilemma of their own and cause one of them to leave the grounds of Mystic Falls.
Executive Producer Julie Plec said to BuddyTV, "There is a brief run where Damon is exiled from Mystic Falls by his mother temporarily. And he has to go shack up with Alaric at Whitmore."
