Kim Kardashian to Name New Baby 'Easton'

"Keeping Up with the Kardashians" star Kim Kardashian West recently discussed baby names with Ellen DeGeneres in an interview on "The Ellen DeGeneres Show" on Tuesday, ABC News reported.

Seven months pregnant Kardashian West said that she usually choose a name at eight months and that she is only a month away for choosing one. DeGeneres had a list of names prepared for the 34-year-old star.

"I have names. I came up with some," DeGeneres said. The host read out various names including "Head," "Wild," "Mid," and "Eastmeets." While Kardashian West laughed off most of DeGeneres' suggestions, she revealed that she loves the name Easton.

“First off, the name Easton obviously compliments North, but more importantly it has religious significance, which is why Kim loves the name so much. In the Bible, the east represents God’s light. It is the direction that the sun rises, which is symbolic of a new day and beginnings. Kim thinks it’s a powerful and original name. In numerology, the name Easton is a number two, which is associated with peace and beauty,” HollywoodLife.com reported.

Kardashian West also revealed during the show that she isn't sure that her husband likes the name. She also admitted that there is one name that they will never consider- "South."

"It's definitely not South. Every time someone says South I just want to roll my eyes," she said. "It's not a good direction."

"No that's not a good direction anyway," DeGeneres replied. "That's not fair to him, because North is the highest point — that's why you named her North. But South is not fair."

The star also said that she has "absolutely no worries whatsoever" that her kids will be bullied or ridiculed because of their names, adding that since The Kardashian family isn’t a typical family, it is just right to choose a unique name for their kids.
