It seems like they have different plans when it comes to their married life. Ian is desperate on becoming a father and having a baby while Nikki is not yet ready to let go of her career any time soon.
According to OK! Magazine, Ian and Nikki may look like a happy couple on the outside but they are seriously having a lot of issues in their marriage which might not lead them to last longer. A reliable source reportedly told OK! that the two have been arguing a lot.
Since they got married, Ian has already been wanting a child but Nikki is reportedly making a lot of excuses that it is still too soon for her to have a baby. It has been said that Nikki still wants to travel and focus on her career. The source said, "Nikki is ambitious and worries about derailing her career if she gets pregnant now."
Hollywood Life revealed that Nikki's "isn't quite ready" drama on having a baby is indeed causing major problems in their marriage. Ian and Nikki seemed to be heading on different directions.
Meanwhile, Ian shared to Entertainment Weekly how desperate he is to have a baby and start a family with Nikki. He jokingly said, "Oh, hell yes! Absolutely. You know, it's all about practice. It's not practice makes perfect - it's perfect practice."
The Vampire Diary star added, "It's the most incredible thing to be happy and secure in something. It's a pretty crazy time and place to bring a child into this turbulent and insane world - but I really can't wait to do it and really just love it."
