Flagship smart phones Nexus 6P and iPhone 6S Plus were recently released by technology giants Google and Apple. With the powerful specs both phones are donning, buyers are confused with which to take. Hence, the devices' features and specifications were compared.
Apple's flagship is said to be a good option when it comes to video, pictures and playing games because of its full sRGB coverage, high contrast, wide viewing angles, and high brightness, PC Advisor reported. It also comes with a new 3D Touch technology that makes its usage fun and easy.
PC advisor also noted the that the screen of Nexus 6P is impressive saying, "Colors really pop and – with the right image on screen – the extra detail is clear to see when you look close up."
Looking at the physical side, dimensions of the newest iPhone is 6.23 x 3.07 x 0.29 inches (158.2 x 77.9 x 7.3 mm) while the Nexus 6P is 6.27 x 3.06 x 0.29 inches (159.3 x 77.8 x 7.3 mm). Nexus is bigger in size but is lighter at 6.28 oz (178 g) compared to the 6.77 oz (192 g) weight of iPhone 6s Plus.
The Nexus smart phone, which is available in Aluminum, Graphite, and Frost, is equipped with a 5.7-inch WQHD AMOLED display with a 1440 x 2560 resolution, while iPhone 6s Plus has a 5.5-inch IPS LCD with a resolution of 1080 x 1920 and is available in Silver, Gold, Space Gray, and Rose Gold, Vine Report noted.
Talking about the camera, Nexus 6P is equipped with a 12.3MP, dual LED rear camera with aperture size of F2.0 and 8MP front-facing camera. Its camera app includes face detection, autofocus, touch to focus, and geo tagging. As for the iPhone 6s Plus, its rear camera is a 12MP, dual LED one with aperture size of F2.2 and it has a 5MP front camera. It also features a sapphire crystal lens cover, geo tagging, optical image stabilization, face detection, and self-timer.
Nexus 6P is powered by a Qualcomm Snapdragon 810 octa-core processor with 3GB of RAM while iPhone 6s Plus is equipped with Apple A9 APL1022 dual-core processor and 2GB RAM.
Google's new phone has storage options of 32GB, 64GB, or 128GB while the new iPhone is available in 16GB, 64GB, and 128GB. Both of the devices doesn't have a microSD slot.
"It also ran a reasonably intensive-looking 3D golf game well, never stuttering or dropping in framerate. This was, we should add, while also dealing with well over a dozen apps in the background," V3 reported referring to Nexus 6P.
Meanwhile, Techradar reviewed the iPhone 6s Plus saying that "loading folders and skipping between home screens was fluid except for rare moments when it would take extra time to load and exit apps."
Prices of the devices vary on the storage sizes. For Nexus 6P, 32GB is priced at $499, 64GB at $549, and 128GB for $649. Meanwhile, the iPhone 6s Plus is priced at $749, $849, and $949 for the 16GB, 64GB, and for 128GB, respectively.
