Scott Cawthon's FNaF World RPG is said to be totally different from the "Five Nights At Freddy's" game series that fans have come to love.
First the teaser, as shared in his website, reveals the playable characters in the new RPG games which includes the notorious free-roaming scary animatronics, Freddy Fazzbear.
Cawthon has also revealed via Steam that he "wanted to use these characters in a new and fun way because they are so near and dear" to his heart. With this, fans would be able to manipulate Freddy Fazzbear, or any animatronic, in the new RPG instead of being scared by him which was the point of the previous Five Nights At Freddy's games.
A few fans have become concerned that since the RPG is a whole different genre, it might not have the same scares that made the Five Nights At Freddy's series famous, according to Design and Trend. Needless to say that Cawthon is taking the scary appeal of the game by making it "cute" so it would be child-friendly.
While it may be acceptable for a popular series to evolve into another genre, some fans are afraid that it would get the same type of reaction that the Resident Evil series got when it transitioned from horror to multiplayer shooter with its new Resident Evil: Umbrella Corp game.
While the FNaF World RPG sounds like it is being designed to be suitable for younger audience, according to Design and Trend, fans of his Five Nights At Freddy's series are afraid that the story may not be "too deep" or Freddy and his pals might just end up trying to stop an enemy from terrorizing the world. On the other hand, YouTubers who enjoyed watching other players play "Five Nights At Freddy's" games are concerned that the RPG game won't be suitable for online streaming.
Nevertheless, these speculations will not be proven until the game is released. Therefore it would be nice for fans to give this RPG a chance not to mention that Scott Cawthon has also assured everyone via Steam forums that he has some plans or ideas for other horror titles.
