Is Ashton Irwin leaving 5SOS for Black Veil Brides? Rumors began spreading on the Internet that he may be quitting 5SOS when it was revealed that he's been working with the American band after his group took their well-deserved break.
Irwin shared a photo on his Instagram page saying that it was his fifth week with an excellent drum of #AndyBLACK. The social media post quickly made headlines, trigerring speculations that the 5SOS drummer may be leaving his group to join the Black Veil Brides. There are also rumors claiming that he may likely depart from 5SOS since he's enjoying his stint with the said American band, Movie News Guide reports.
The speculations also grew stronger when it was revealed that Michael Clifford, Luke Hemmings and Calum Hood were not working, while Irwin remains active despite their hiatus. However, there is reportedly an explanation why Irwin appears to be more workaholic than his band mates. He came from a part of Sydney, where working is said to be essential. He claimed that he belongs to the working class, who are not capable of taking a day off, Billboard reports.
"Our culture is working-class, like, f****** violent," Ashton said of his hometown, Hawkesbury, a suburb of Sydney. "You can't afford sh**. You take public transport. You buy $5 McDonald's meals. It's just epic, depressed suburbia."
However, the said rumors reportedly seem next to impossible. Earlier, Irwin claimed that he will surely feel bad if one of his band mates will leave their group, just like what Zayn Malik did with One Direction, Fashion N Style reports.
"I heard about that and I was at rehearsal and I was looking at these dudes and, man, I'd be devastated if someone left our band, you know? I can't imagine how the other dudes feel. And I wish him all the best. I hope... if that's a choice he wanted to make, you know? I hope everything goes well," Irwin said.
