'Batman vs. Superman' Rumors: Was Michael Shannon Lying about General Zod?

The new update about 'Batman vs. Superman' is that Michael Shannon has been recklessly teasing about his character's supposed return from the dead. The response to this news -- that he's been wearing "flippers'' -- was inevitably widespread.

Everyone fell over themselves about it, but now, a new interview with Michael has revealed that he might not actually have been telling the truth, after he previously claimed that he hadn't said it at all.

According to What Culture, if Shannon has been gagged by Warner Bros. -- as it appears -- then it's unlikely his "joke" about the flippers might be true. OR, if you are good in analyzing a conspiracy theory, then maybe you'd agree that Warner Bros. flipped out at his spoiler and have insisted Shannon back-tracks whenever anyone brings it up again.

Fair play to Shannon -- the idea of facing press junkets all day answering questions for hours is the worst part of being popular.

Michael Shannon has successfully lured the viewing public into believing General Zod is coming back in a ridiculous manner in 'Batman vs. Superman: Dawn of Justice.' Shannon, who portrayed General Zod in 'Man of Steel,' recently told Vulture a funny story about being stuck a port-potty on the set of the 'Batman vs. Superman' movie. General Zod's new flipper hands were blamed by Shannon as the ones that almost got him fired.

IDigital Times said Shannon had said to Vulture that, "I was in my costume, and I couldn't use my fingers because in the sequel I have flippers instead of hands." He added, "So I had these wax flippers on my fingers, and I couldn't open the door, and I could hear Zack [Snyder, the director] being like, 'Where's Shannon? Where the f*** is he?' and the whole crew was standing around; I was like, knocking on the door with my flippers, 'Let me out of here!'"

'Batman vs. Superman: Dawn of Justice' is scheduled to be shown in theaters on March 25, 2016.
