On Monday, game developer Blizzard has given avid fans and players of "Star Craft 2: Legacy of the Void" an opportunity to take a sneak peek of the game's upcoming physical and digital contents. It was said that the game's collector's edition features a truckload of contents such as soundtracks, behind-the-scenes set, colors of the Protoss race, and more, Gamespot reports.
"Legacy of the Void's CE will be available at retail alongside the standard game on November 10. According to listings on Amazon, Best Buy, and GameStop, it'll carry a price of $80, twice that of the standard $40 version. There's also a third version of the game, the digital deluxe bundle, that comes with the game itself and the bonuses in StarCraft and the other games for $60," the report noted.
Polygon reports that "StarCraft 2: Legacy of the Void" Collector's Edition is expected to arrive on Nov. 10 both in Windows and Macintosh. Aside from the DVD version of the game, players will also be able to get an exclusive disc, both in DVD and Blu-ray format, which contains some in-game bonuses and features.
Gamespot has listed the 21 tracks included in the collector's edition, which are as follows:
- StarCraft II: Purifier skins for Protoss Adepts and Colossi, and three Protoss portraits
- World of Warcraft: Archon pet
- Diablo III: Probe pet and Protoss armor transmog
- Hearthstone: Protoss-themed card back
- Heroes of the Storm: Void Speeder mount
An avid fan named KorbenDallas, however, said that the game's regular edition lacks a lore manual.
"Pretty sad regular editions don't even get a lore manual with unit names and some story in it. Back in the Starcraft 1/Warcraft 2/3 days you would include large lore manuals full of pictures and lore as well as full sized posters for your games."
Another player named Equalizer agreed with his statement and said: "Agreed. Deeply disappointed the lore book isn't included in the regular edition. I remember being so excited about opening a new Blizzard game because, on top of the game, I would get to read all the great lore in the little booklet that was included. Seems those days are gone forever."
