On Monday, a listing from Amazon, the largest Internet-based retailer, has revealed that "Rise of the Tomb Raider" will be getting a season pass. It was said that the game's season pass will give players and avid fans a sneak peek of the game's upcoming free downloadable contents, a report from Gamespot said.
International Business Times reports that the Amazon listing reveals the price of the "Rise of the Tomb Raider" season pass, which is $29.99.
"All post-release DLC for Tomb Raider was related to that multiplayer mode, making the mention of a single player expansion all the more interesting. Uncharted - the series inspired by the original Lara Croft games which in turn inspired the Tomb Raider reboot - will also be including single player DLC for the first time with the fourth game set for release next year," the report noted.
However, both Microsoft and Square Enix have yet to reveal the contents of the DLC, which will be released exclusively for Xbox One. It was also suggested that "Rise of the Tomb Raider" will likely include single-player content and other multiplayer features.
"A recent report revealed that Rise of the Tomb Raider will not have a traditional multiplayer mode like its predecessor did. This information was seemingly confirmed when the game's achievements list was announced, as challenges mentioned multiplayer," Gamespot said.
It can be recalled that "The Tomb Raider" reboot was released in 2013. It offered gamers the option to play in a competitive player mode while the single player was offered separately. "Rise of The Tomb Raider" is slated to be launched on Nov. 10 for Xbox One, Xbox 360, PS4 and PC.
"The season pass for Rise Of The Tomb Raider includes a range of content that will extend your single-player campaign, and also allow you to compete with friends," reads a description of the game's season pass, as quoted from International Business Times.
