Rock band "Coldplay" frontman, Chris Martin, just lost a "Paradise". Actress wife Gwyneth Paltrow has reportedly forced Martin to cancel the contract on a Brentwood, California home that the singer thought vibed with his musical inclinations.
According to Perezhilton, Martin recently checked out a home in the Brentwood area that sported a $4 million asking price. He loved the place so much that he even got his band mates to come and check the place out and played some music in there to see how it would feel to live there. All was well until Paltrow butted in and declared that the inspection report of the home was not 'perfect'. She asked Martin to cancel the deal!
TMZ has some pictures of the home that scream - Country. Apparently, the place is a 6000 square feet residence comprising of six bedrooms. The two-story home has large French doors and windows and a country touch to the interiors. Featuring hardwood, stone and marble flooring, the place has a formal living room, a dining room and sitting area in an open grassy courtyard. Paltrow is not only controlling her husband's real estate deals but also their children's diet! According to US Weekly, the "It's All Good" cookbook author is always watchful about what her son, Moses, and daughter Apple eat.
"I tried to start them off with all of the right foods, but as they got older, the lure of Oreos and cotton candy outweighed the lure of carrots with hummus. And that's all a part of childhood and I love Oreos too, so I completely understand. I try to make sure that what is on their plate at home is nutritious and tasty, and then I loosen way up on the reigns when we are out," Paltrow wrote in her Goop Newsletter.
