Beckhams Set to Sell 'Beckingham Palace' for $15 Million

Famous celebrity couple, David and Victoria Beckham, is all set to sell its country estate know as "The Beckingham Palace" in Hertfordshire as they plan to move to London. The huge mansion is listed on the open market with a $15 million price tag.

According to the Daily Mail, the couple only wants to sell it to a private buyer rather than a random developer who would later tear the home down to build apartments in its place. Apparently, they are prepared to wait for the right buyer.

"They know there aren't lots of individuals looking for houses of this size, and developers would jump at the chance to turn it into smaller flats, which would have added value because of the Beckham connection," a source told the Daily Mail.

"Both David and Victoria spent years improving Rowneybury and they're prepared to wait for the right buyer who will continue their work, rather than someone looking to cash in on their name," the source added.

The mansion is a huge residence spread on a 22-acre property. The Georgian-style home has a private helipad, outdoor and indoor swimming pools, a tennis court, a modern gym and numerous game rooms. The couple bought the residence after they got married in 1999 for around $3.8 million.

The Beckhams have been living in California for the last five years after David signed up with the L.A Galaxy club. They moved to London in January and have been renting out a place in Kensington since then. The couple has already signed up their three sons, Brooklyn, Romeo and Cruz in a school in London. Victoria has also found a suitable nursery for their one-year-old daughter, Harper. They hope to buy a home in Kensington or Mayfair soon.

However, the family is keeping their Beverly Hills home. They just celebrated Easter there, reports Daily Mail.
