The Moto G has become an apple to the eye of some fans since it was released back in 2013. Competitive specs and reasonably lower price are the features that made the Motorola device popular.
The first Moto G was a a great success and has become known as Motorola's best-selling smartphone, according to Gazette Review. It was dubbed as one of the best smartphones of 2014 by several websites. It was also recognized after the Lollipop for its good performance because surprisingly some high end lines failed to do so. Prior to its good response to the Lollipop upgrade the 2nd Gen Moto G came with a better camera, MicroSD card slot and stereo speakers.
Unlike the first two Moto G releases, the third generation Moto G looked a bit different. In addition, it features a 13MP camera, a quad-core Snapdragon 410 processor and water-resistance up to one meter for half an hour according to Endgadget . And the best thing is that it is priced at at $179.99
It seems that it will keep its outstanding status for quite some time as the entire Moto G series, including the 2013 releases, is reported eligible for an Android 6.0 Marshmallow update.
But fans should not get too excited for the update just yet. Android Lollipop must first be introduced to the first Moto G, according to Gazette Review. Google is planning to introduce the 6.0 update to several phone in the next few days and is waiting for the manufacturers to give the go signal after making final adjustments. The first in the line to receive that update are the Nexus phones first then Motorola comes next. And even if an exact date was not yet stated, it was said that Moto G devices will move up to the latest Android.
