"Harry Potter" actor Daniel Radcliffe listed his apartment in Soho for lease for only $19,000 a month.
The actor who was made famous by his portrayal of "Harry Potter" in the big screen, Daniel Radcliffe has just made his apartment at 40 Mercer in Soho available to rent for a reported $19,000 a month. According to Curbed, the "Boy Who Lived" also has a property in the West Village where he seems to spend more time in compared to his other real estate acquisitions in the New York area. The apartment is listed by Halstead Property who calls Radcliffe's apartment as "Mercer Street Magic" with obvious reference to the movie "Harry Potter."
The apartment has two bedrooms with two and a half bath and occupies 1,800 square feet of floor space. The crib has high ceilings which lends it a feeling of extra space. It has a contemporary style kitchen perfect for entertaining close friends and family members. The master bathroom has two sinks, a big bathtub, and a walk-in shower.
New York Magazine reported in 2009 that Radcliffe bought the historic townhouse he owns on West 12th Street which is just a few blocks away from the Hudson River. The listing described the property as one of the three renovated townhouses which was built and owned by a sea-faring captain who gave them as gifts to his three daughters in 1874.
It is located on one of the Big Apple's most scenic streets lined with trees and has cobblestone blocks. West 12th Street is sandwiched between Greenwich and Washington. The house is sized at around 18 feet across and is directly facing the sunlight which means daytime is always a bright prospect for whoever resides in it. And basing from recent reports, it seems "Harry Potter" has found a home he wants to spend time in which is why he is renting out his Soho property.
