In the premiere episode, Noah and Helen were seen coping with their divorce. In one scene, Helen is seen making out with Noah's friend and then waking up in a hotel room the next day. In the new episode of "The Affair," viewers will now have a chance to know more about Cole Lockhart (Joshua Jackson).

According to International Business Times, viewers will see how Cole will cope with being single, and he will reportedly not handle it very well. In the premiere episode, Noah left his family to be with Alison in an upstate New York Cabin.

According to the synopsis, Allison's time with Noah might be interrupted by an unexpected guest and it was speculated that it could be Cole. In a sneak peek for episode 2, Cole can be seen standing in the living room where Noah and Allison live.

According to the site, people are concerned about Cole's destructive lifestyle now that Allison has left him. Viewers can expect more flashback episodes of Cole where he seems to have family and money problems.

Jackson revealed in an earlier interview that viewers will see a different side of Cole in Season 2 as they get to discover his past. It was earlier reported that Cole will become more dangerous, and Allison will be more afraid of him in the upcoming episodes.
