Can you think of the best birthday gift that you can give an Academy Award winner such as Kate Winslet? Michael Fassbender, Kate's co-star in the upcoming "Steve Jobs" biopic, gave her one of the most practical thing that she does not have -- a pressure cooker.
According to Vanity Fair, during Michael and Kate's interview with E! News, the "Titanic" star revealed that she wants an appliance. She said, "I'd quite like a pressure cooker," and added "I want to start making bone broths!"
Michael asked, "What does that entails?" And Kate gladly explained, "Taking a whole bunch of bones and putting them in a pressure cooker with lots of chopped up leeks and onions and celery and all that stuff, and you make this amazing restorative bone broth."
Winslet added while laughing, "You boil it up for, like, 12 hours and it cures you of all ailments."
To sum it all up, Michael finds it "amazing" and promised to give her the gift. Fassbender said, "I love this. I will get you the pressure cooker if you will cook me one of those bones broths."
According to E! Online, Michael really stood by his promise and gave Kate a pressure cooker for her birthday. E! News caught up with Kate on her birthday at the New York Festival for the screening of their movie "Steve Jobs" biopic, and she shared that "He got me a pressure cooker."
Kate told E! News, "What happened was we were about to leave the house to go to the airport and this box arrived and I was like, 'Ah, we're about to leave the house.' But it was this huge box and I was like, 'What the heck is going on?' Then I see on the side of it, it says Tefal." Tefal is the cookware brand.
And then she added, "I was like, 'Ah, Tefal,' and then I opened it. He's a good boy. He got me the pressure cooker."
Looks like Michael did a good research with the brand that he got for Kate's pressure cooker. Fassbender shared to E! News, "It was down to three." And he added, "I'm happy with the choice."
