"Orange is the New Black" star Laura Prepon recently talked about her favorite dishes and holiday dinner meals.
In an interview with The Hollywood Reporter, the actress revealed that her entire family enjoys eating all sorts of dishes because her mom worked as a chef.
"I'm the youngest of five kids, and we'd always congregate and in the kitchen around her cooking. And in my house now, the hangout is always the kitchen. When I'm not on set, that's the other place I feel I'm in my element. It's such a fun and creative place, and there's something about it that mellows me out," she said.
Meanwhile, Prepon recently teamed up with "The Stash Plan" co-author Elizabeth Troy on a 21-day detox plan that is aimed at addressing bloating and digestive issues. Talking about her current food fixation, Prepon revealed that she's so into soaking grains these days.
"I'll have four bowls of different rice, millet and oats, all soaking in a yogurt-water concoction on the counter. Sometimes, my friends think I'm soaking bowls with soapy water, so they dump them by accident."
When asked what event she's most fond of cooking for, Prepon said that she's assigned to preparing their family's holiday dinner.
"Big holiday dinners. My favorite is my 'misfit Thanksgiving.' My friends that don't have family in L.A. come to my house. One friend who came for the first time said, 'I've never been to such a rock 'n' roll Thanksgiving in my life!' It usually turns into a big party because after other family obligations, people end up at my house afterwards," she shared.
Prepon will reprise his role as Alex Vause in the upcoming fourth season of "Orange Is the New Black," according to Screen Crush. The Netflix series is slated to premiere its Season 4 online in June 2016.
