"Fear The Walking Dead" first season just ended but the zombies are still around and the outbreak is just starting.
Entertainment Weekly reported that first instalment of the zombie prequel web series "Fear The Walking Dead: Flight 462" debuted last Sunday on AMC.com. This is a 16-part web series that serves as a companion of "Fear Of The Walking Dead" and "The Walking Dead." But there is a catch because it has been said that one of the characters who will survive in the web series will soon join "Fear The Walking Dead Season 2."
According to Yahoo! News, in the first instalment of the web series, passengers are on board a commercial flight during the earliest moment when zombie apocalypse happened. The video released was less than 90 seconds but the tension it has was high, as reported by Entertainment Weekly.
In the video you can see that the usual routine flight takeoff is interrupted by an anxious passenger, a woman who does not know what she is saying and then there's a sudden distant scream on the other end of the phone. These are just the few of the highlights that were shown on the short clip. As the web series continues, the plane, as well as the lives of its passengers will be in danger as they discovered that one of the passengers in infected.
The web series is written by L. Signorino and Mike Zunic and directed by Michael McDonough who is "Fear" director of photography. Its producers are "Fear" showrunner Dave Erickson and co-exec producer David Wiener.
"Fear The Walking Dead: Flight 462" is said to be a great extension of the world of "Fear," Deadline said. Joel Stillerman, the president of original programming and development for AMC and SundanceTV, shared that, "We are thrilled to be collaborating with Dave Erickson and David Wiener on another piece of original content. Watching how they'll bring one of these new characters to the second season of 'Fear' will be really exciting for viewers to follow."
New episodes will run for a minute and it will be shown during commercial breaks throughout the new season of "The Walking Dead" which will premiere on Oct. 11.
