Amid rumors that Arianna Huffington trashed her $32,000-a-month rental loft in Chelsea, she has gone on to buy a luxurious loft in SoHo for herself.
According to The New York Post, Huffington bought a luxury loft on Mercer Street for $8.15 million this past December, for slightly less than its initial $8.495 million asking price.
"Arianna is just finishing decorating the apartment, and she is really happy there," a source told the New York Post.
The founder of the Huffington Post's new three-bedroom, 4,000-plus-square-foot home includes a 50-foot-wide entertaining space with high ceilings, wide-plank floors, a professional-grade kitchen and a regal master suite.
The seller was former Goldman Sachs investment banker Matt L'Heureux, who has moved to California.
