The home where a suburban Detroit marketing executive was strangled last year is being offered for sale.
The 2,800-square-foot house on Middlesex is listed for sale on the website www.moveinmichigan.com for $415,000. The site says the house has five bedrooms, three full bathrooms, two half-baths, a remodeled kitchen, a finished basement and a wine cellar.
Joseph Gentz, a handyman who said he strangled Bashara at the request of her husband, was sentenced earlier this year to at least 17 years in prison. Gentz said he killed her because Robert Bashara offered money and had threatened to kill him if he didn't act.
Jane Bashara's body was found in her Mercedes-Benz in a run-down Detroit neighborhood in January 2012. Bob Bashara, who early on was named a person of interest in his wife's death, has maintained he had nothing to do with her murder. He is, however, serving 80 months to 20 years in prison after admitting last October that he tried to hire someone to kill Gentz.
