The 5 acre estate family home belonging to movie producer Kevin Turen of movies "Arbitrage" and "An American Crime" has gone on sale with an asking price of $39 million, according to the Wall Street Journal.
The home is known as the 'Gloria Crest Estate' and was built for Polish Count Stefan Ponyatovsky. Turen's parents are selling the property because they want to buy a townhouse in NYC. The property has 8 bedroom, 9 full and 5 half bath and the house has an approximate 24,000 square feet.
"The gated entrance opens to a long drive that winds through sweeping lawns, towering trees, orchards, gardens and a sparkling reflecting pool before arriving at the impressive grand entrance to this Mediterranean-style Villa. A virtual private kingdom abounds behind a ten foot wall decorated with cooper and bronze ornamentation. Commissioned in 1926 by Count Stefan de Poniatowski, once heir to the Polish throne, Gloria Crest was later occupied by the screen legend actress Gloria Swanson. Built by European craftsman, the exterior of Gloria Crest is white glazed faience block," according to the listing.
"Additional features include a ground's equipment building, 7 car garage with elevator access to all levels of the estate, sophisticated security system, and an 80 KW generator, greenhouse, staff quarters and studio apt. Englewood, one of Bergen County's finest towns, is located a mere 10 miles from Times Square and 15 minutes from Teterboro private airport and is home to some of the finest private schools, fine dining and exclusive downtown shopping. Gloria Crest."
The sprawling property is located in Englewood, New Jersey. To get more information on the house listing, Dennis McCormack of Sotheby's is handling the sale.
