Microsoft's Windows 10 Devices Event Tuesday might have just become the turning point of the company, in terms of their smartphone sales. On the budget category of smartphone, a person needing an entry level phone with good quality and functionality, the new Lumia 550 would be a better choice. Considered by Microsoft as the "most affordable 4G LTE smartphone running Windows 10," the new Lumia 550 includes the latest Qualcomm Snapdragon quad-core processor, with a retail price of $140.

The point of reference why the new Lumia 550 is to be considered as more affordable is due to the fact that the company likewise revealed other new smartphones on the said event. During its Windows 10 Devices Event Tuesday, Microsoft also gave the attendees a glimpse of their new Lumia 950 and Lumia 950 XL which are higher alternatives to Lumia 550. According to theverge, the new Microsoft Lumia 950 XL and Lumia 950 share some common setup for both comes with a "5.7-inch display, a 20-megapixel camera on the back, a 'tablet-class liquid cooling' to allow these phones to handle more powerful chips." The difference perhaps mainly rests on their processor and display screen, for Lumia 950 XL is powered by an octa-core processor, while on the other hand the new Lumia 950 uses only a hexa-core processor. And of course since it is XL, Lumia 950 XL comes with a larger 5.7 inch display screen, while Lumia 950 comes only with a 5.2 inch screen.

I know most of you just can't wait for these babies to be released on the market, but you would have to wait until December for the new Microsoft Lumia 550. And for the release date of the new Lumia 950 which is to be retailed for $549 and the Lumia 950 XL for $649, we would have to wait till next month.

What do you think about the new smartphone offers of Microsoft, would you buy one? Feel free to share and comment below.
