Harry Potter fans can have a magical Christmas feast at Hogwarts' Great Hall this Dec. 3. Warner Bros. Studios announced this special, one night only treat for fans who will be visiting the Harry Potters Studios in London on the said date.
In the "Harry Potter" movies, the Great Hall is home to big events such as the Sorting Ceremony. Fans can remember it being decked with gigantic pine trees, majestic lights and candles in winter scenes. According to Warner Bros. Studios, fans can expect the same ambiance of the iconic set. Original props used in the movies will be present on the event, "including flaming Christmas puddings and hams studded with cherries." To make the experience more authentic, guests will even be given their own wands as souvenirs.
According to Elle Decor, the fancy two-course meal includes ham terrine and roast turkey. Vegetarian options can also be requested in advance.
After dinner, guests will be ushered to a tour of the Gryffindor common room and Weasley's kitchen, which will be given a holiday makeover reminiscent of the movies' winter scenes. Dessert will be served at Platform 9 ¾, with the original Hogwarts Express as its background. After, guests can go to Diagon Alley, where Butterbeer will be served. As a special treat, the area will be covered in fake snow, so guests can play with snow balls like Harry, Ron, and Hermione did in one of the movies.
Tickets are priced at £230 or $350. Sadly, Warner Bros. Studios has announced that due to overwhelming demand, the dinner event is now sold out. No update has been released if they will be opening other dates, but the whole studios will still be decked in Harry Potter Christmas scenes until Jan. 31, 2016.
