Microsoft aimed for a Surface device but in a laptop's build, so they came up with the ultimate laptop called the "Surface Book", the first laptop ever built by Microsoft.
After announcing all the details about the "Surface Pro 4", the "Surface Book" became a sweet cherry on top. This new laptop comes with the latest Windows OS, the Windows 10 and it is made with machined magnesium body.
"Surface Book" Dimensions and Design
The screen is 13.5 inches diagonal with 6 million pixels. It has 267 ppi in the depth of its screen and it also uses Microsoft's PixelSense technology. The whole device measures 7.7 thick.
The typing experience on this product is very much improved as well, with more focus on quietness. Also, the keyboard has back lit keys and the laptop has a glass trackpad that features five points of touch that activates different Windows 10 actions. The screen is detachable and it also comes with a pen.
"Surface Book" Performance
The Microsoft team claims that this new laptop is two times faster than the 13" MacBook Pro, and this claim was demonstrated on stage at the Microsoft October event. 'Gears of War' was played in front of the audience to show how powerful the performance of the "Surface Book" is. This level of performance is a result of the great processors of the laptop. It is powered by 6th gen Intel Core i processors and an Nvidia GeForce GPU utilizing GDDR5 memory.
"Surface Book" Battery Life
Even though the laptop is a strong performer with the greatest processors, the team promises that the "Surface Book" did not compromise battery life for this. This Microsoft laptop will still have a good 12 hours of battery life.
Surface Pro Price And Release Date
The Microsoft "Surface Book" will start pre orders on October 7, with store availability date of October 26. As for the price, it will be at around $1,500.
