The Moto X Force is the latest android smartphone from Motorola rumored to launch on Oct 29 via Verizon and Moto Maker in the US. What is more interesting is the rumor that this latest Motorola flagship will be shatterproof.
According to Phandroid, the Moto X Force was previously and internally referred to as Motorola Bound when the details of this phone was initially leaked. As rumored, it will be launched in the US exclusively for Verizon and Moto Maker as Droid Turbo 2. On the other hand, it will be marketed as the Moto X Force in Asia and Europe. Moreover, this Motorola Droid reportedly will have 5.43-inch QHD "Shatterproof" display with reinforced metal edges for added toughness.
If the rumors would be true, then according to Phandroid, it is going to be the first "Droid" phone to be sold through Moto Maker. This then means that customers will be able to customize Droid Turbo 2 to their liking. The cool part is that it has been rumored that Motorola will be offering a free, 1-time design swap/replacement within 2 years of purchase. So a customer will have another chance to change the phone's color free of charge if the first option was not so nice.
Aside from its shatterproof display, it is rumored to have Snapdragon 810 processor, 3GB of RAM, a 21-megapixel rear camera and a 5-megapixel front camera, and a 3760mAh batter, according to Digit. Moreover, the phone reportedly will support wireless charging and will be available with either 32GB or 64GB storage. There are no details about the price just yet but one can be looking at a price of around $628.
As mentioned earlier, it is more likely to be released on October 29 but the said release date is yet to be confirmed and may still change. A formal announcement from the company is said to happen on October 15. Would you agree that a shatterproof display adds more value to your money?
