The role-playing action video game "Bloodborne" by FromSoftware is getting a DLC expansion dubbed "The Old Hunters."
"The Old Hunters" DLC for "Bloodborne" will come with plenty of weapons to try out. It sounds like the answer to every fans request of an increased weapon count. There is no word on the final number number yet but in a recent interview with GameSpot, producer Masaaki Yamagiwa has shared that FromSoftware has prepared 10 to15 new types of defense that will change gameplay for "Bloodborne".
According to Design and Trend, there is an update on three of the weapons. One is a whip that transforms into a katana. The other is a more brutal version of the classic saw cleaver. And the third is a dagger that doubles as a bow and arrow which is a good weapon of choice for ranged combat. Other than the weapons, there will be new types of armor, NPCs and magic, but there are no big details about those yet.
According to Design and Trend, "Bloodborne's" The Old Hunters DLC will equate in terms of difficulty with second half of the original game. Having said that the players have to reach the middle part of the campaign in order to access the additional content. Nevertheless, the developers suggest that additional levels will likely be needed after the midway point.
The "Bloodborne's" The Old Hunters DLC will probe deeper into "Bloodborne's" Old Hunter tradition that's mentioned several times within the campaign. In the story, Yharnam's ancient hunters are stuck inside a nightmare and in such state, they'll be urged to challenge at least one of the bosses, such as Ludwig, who is the first hunter of the Healing Church order.
The game will be given three new areas by the "The Old Hunters" DLC spread across a time of around eight hours depending on game speed. According to Eurogamer, the testers were taken to a bloody swamp, in an earlier demo at the 2015 Tokyo Game Show,.
The "The Old Hunters" expansion will be released on Nov. 24 for $19.99 in Japan. It will be followed by "Bloodborne: The Old Hunters Edition" on Dec. 3 which is a complete form game that already includes the DLC. Given the chance, what addition would suggest for the DLC to include.
