Angelina Jolie's stunning childhood home, where she lived with her mum Marcheline Bertrand and brother James Haven in the 1980s, is currently on sale with an asking price of $2million, Mirror reported.
Said house located in Snedens Landing, New York is owned by the actress and producer Bertrand after she separated with Jolie's father, Jon Voight. Reports said that Jolie and her brother attended elementary school near the area.
The floor area of the house is around 4,000 square feet, and sits on approximately 2 acres of land. It is nestled in rural Snedens Landing on the Woods Road, People reported.
"It's a gorgeous area with a quiet, understated community," said Richard Ellis of Ellis Sotheby's International Realty firm where the house is recently listed. "It feels rather rural but it's in the unique position that it's only a 25 minute drive from Manhattan."
The house features four-bedroom with huge open rooms and a "dramatic high pitched gable roof" as well as "overhanging eaves with exposed roof beams," the listing said.
The 1959 house undergone an outstanding renovation with a midcentury contemporary architecture when it was purchased by a professional house-flipper who said, "My style is to simplify and restore to the original condition." He replaced some fixtures and touched up the paint on the redwood paneling and on the pine ceiling, the Wall Street Journal reported.
It also features natural stonework with redwood, oak and pine fittings with heavy ceiling beams. One will be treated with a beautiful view outside where one can see two-acres of picturesque land in the Rockland County region.
When the family left the house, they moved to Los Angeles, where Jolie attended high school and started her acting career when she got a break in Hackers.
Celebrities who currently reside in the area include the comedian Bill Murray and Russian-American dancer Mikhail Baryshnikov.
