The season 3 premiere of "The Blacklist" left Liz Keen (Megan Boone) fighting for her safety as Red's (James Spader) plan to leave the state did not go so well. In the episode, things did not go as planned as Liz and Red were betrayed by an ally's sister, which led Red to escape while Liz was left behind, stuck in the city.
Because of the circumstance, Liz climbed the gate of the Russian embassy and declared herself as a Russian agent and requested to be kept from the U.S, authorities. According to International Business Times, although the Russians helped Liz to be out of Ressler's (Diego Klattenhoff) hands, they are not exactly thrilled about having a former FBI agent under their turf. They are also contemplating about helping Liz after discovering that she is connected with Red.
Now that Liz is in more trouble than ever, it was reported that Red will be asking for the help of a lawyer named Marvin Gerard so they can get out of the situation. According to iDigital Times, the Russians will agree to help Liz and let her get on a plane to Moscow. However, Red does not believe that the Russians really want to help her and he reportedly thinks that they are planning on killing her instead.
Red devises a plan to let Liz escape both the FBI and the Russians by calling Ressler and convincing him to stop the Russian convoy. However, his plan will not go smoothly. In the promotional video, Liz can be seen getting into a car accident as she leaves going to the airport. However, when Ressler opens the vehicle, no one is inside.
Can Red help Liz escape in one piece? Fans will have to wait and see as "The Blacklist" Season 3 episode 2 airs on NBC on October 8.
