'Diabolik Lovers II: More Blood’ News: Sentai Filmworks Gets Streaming and Home Video Rights for Anime Series

Sentai Filmworks gets streaming and home video rights for "Diabolik Lovers II: More Blood" anime series. The official announcement was made on Tuesday.

Anime News Network says that Sentai Film has already licensed the anime sequel of "Diabolik Lovers II" and has planned to release the series on home video. The anime has already premiered on Sept. 23 via AT-X, and can be viewed on streaming through Crunchyroll.

The anime adaptation is based on Rejet's original "Diabolik Lovers" vampire drama visual novel including the PSP game project. The story revolves around "the six sadistic Sakamaki vampire brothers." Fandom Post reports that plot of season 2 continues wherein the female lead character- Yui Komori, is "still the object of desire of 4 dashing new vampires. Soon, the Sakamaki brothers from the show's first season clash with the Mukami tribe in this supernatural dark romance's second chapter."

The current season is directed by Risako Yoshida. The script is also penned by Hiroko Kanasugi. ZEXCS takes care of the animation while Yuuko Yahiro stays on board as the character design.

As for the voice actors, the roster has the line-up of Rie Suegara who gives the voice of Yui Komori, then Hikaru Midorikawa, Yuuki Kaji, Daisuke Hirakawa, Kousuke Toriumi, Katsuyuki Konishi, and Takashi Kondo are playing the roles of the 6 sadistic Sakamaki vampire brothers.

The "Diabolik Lovers" season 1 was first aired in 2013. It had 12 episodes " clocking in at thirteen minutes each as it adapted the game to the small screen." The first season was directed by Shinobu Tagashira. The script supervisor was Seiko Nagatsu. The character designer of season 1 is Yuuko Yahiro, who is still part of season 2.

When Sentai Filmworks got its rights, the company has released the DVD and Blu-Ray Discs in bilingual form.
