Mac OS Upgrade 'El Capitan' Bug Causes Outlook To Freeze

The latest Mac OS upgrade OS X "El Capitan" didn't make a good impression to its users as it has been reported that the new update causes Outlook to freeze. According to a source, users of "Outlook 2011" and 2016 are having problems in retrieving their emails. None of the involved companies gave an estimate on how long this problem will last before it gets fixed.

According to affected users, the "Office 2011" and 2016 can open like a normal application. But that's all the normality you can get from the app for as soon as you try to sync with the server of the mail, what you will get is an eternal spinning wheel and a frozen screen.

As per Microsoft, they are already aware of the problem but they gave people no specific date as to when this problem be resolved. What they suggested is to go back to an older OS so as to avoid such a problem.

Faisal Jeelani, Program Management for Outlook for Mac gave a statement about this, saying, "We are working on a fix for 2011 and for 2016 we are working closely with Apple to resolve this issue as soon as possible. Unfortunately we do not have any timelines for either fix, please stay tuned and thank you for your understanding,"

If you are not an Outlook user, the "OS X El Capitan" did bring in some good stuff. Following its release last September 30, the "El Capitan" update brings users new features like the Split View and updates for Spotlight and Mission Control. The overall performance was also boosted, allowing better animation and graphics to take place.

But if you're one of the people who rely on Outlook, the only choices you have right now is to switch back to an older Mac OS to get a normal Outlook experience, or just wait for the two companies to come up with a solution for this.
