Another unexpected event comes for Hayley and Elijah in the upcoming "The Originals" season 3. The handsome Original vampire Elijah Mikaelson played by Daniel Gillies would indeed take chances in proving his love for Hayley even if it destined to be "doomed."
Gillies talks to TV Line about Elijah in "The Originals" season 3 premiere episode and describes how his relationship would be with the werewolf Hayley (Phoebe Tonkin).
It was spilled that due to Hayley being cursed as a werewolf, she now has little time to spend on Elijah but this doesn't bother him and thus, the handsome vampire makes it a point to make that time memorable and fun as possible for Hayley.
"There's something kind of Dickensian about the whole thing; there's sort of a parlor room romance that comes along with the restraint. It's what makes them interesting, but I do think they're sort of doomed to love each other," Gillies said from the interview.
"The Originals" season 3 spoilers also indicate that viewers will absolutely adore Elijah's love for Hayley as he was a "knight and shining armor" towards her. Gillies also spoiled that Elijah will do anything to protect Hayley when she is a werewolf from impending people who might hunt her.
"He'll do what he has to do, but I don't know if he's necessarily dark about it," Gillies said.
And he also added, "One thing I admire about Elijah is that, if nothing else, he's economical. He sees occasional violence as a necessary evil, or even just another day at the office. And when it comes to the reunification of his family, I don't think any measure is too dark. By human standards, he'll certainly do some malevolent-looking things, but by 1,000-year-old vampire standards, it'll be just like a trip to Starbucks for tea."
