Celebrity Real Estate: NBA All-Star Kevin Durant Slashes Price on His Oklahoma City Home

When NBA All-Star Kevin Durant initially tried to sell his Oklahoma City home for $1.95 million two years ago, it didn't sell. Now the 26-year old NBA basketball star has put his property back on the market with nearly half of the original price cut.

According to Realtor, the property is now listed on the market for $1,095,000. The 5,744-square-foot home features a pure suburban style of luxury and comfort. The house also features a soaring entryway and a living room with a fireplace, a vaulted ceiling, and several seating areas for entertaining guests. The backyard of the house is where the large pool and the hot tub is located.

The kitchen, which has a checkered floor, is completed with steel countertops and high-end appliances.

The opulent red-wall master bedroom of the highly successful NBA star has great features of high ceilings and blond wood planks.

The All-Star forward for the Oklahoma City Thunder stayed in this luxury abode since 2008. Durant led the team to the finals in 2012. As one of the league's brightest stars, Kevin was named NBA MVP in 2014. He was also a part of the U.S. national basketball team that won the gold in the 2012 Summer Olympics.

As stated on his official website, Kevin Durant was born in Maryland and enrolled at the University of Texas in Austin, where he became the only freshman to win both of his university's prestigious awards -- the Adolf F. Rupp and the Oscar Robert awards.

Latin Post said that Durant only stayed for one year in the university since he was drafted by the Seattle Supersonics in 2007, which signaled the beginning of his stellar career in the NBA. After the Sonics relocated to Oklahoma City, the team was renamed OKC Thunder.

The highly-successful NBA star player has even surpassed Michael Jordan's record of 40 consecutive games with at least 25 points.

The Oklahoma City Thunder star had a right foot injury in March, and only played 27 games last season.
