21.5 Inch iMac With 4K Display May Be Coming In Next Week, Comes With Upgraded Graphics Card And Improved Processors

The long running rumor about a "21.5" 4K iMac" never faded away, it's probably because the rumor is true, and the addition of a "21.5 inch iMac" in Apple's Retina lineup might be happening as early as next week. Right now 4K screens are only available in 27" iMac units.

We first heard this rumor last June and then it returned in August. But now, according to a source, Apple is about to announce the new 4K iMac next week. It will then be available for everyone by October 13.

The New iMac

The new models of the "21.5" iMacs" won't have a different look, but it was said that these new units will not only have 4K screens, they will also have an upgraded graphics card, making the display extra crisp compared before. There are also reports saying that the new "21.5" 4k iMac" will be carrying the new Intel Broadwell processor. And if previous reports are to be believed, it was also mentioned that the new model may have a resolution of 4096 x 2304 and four AMD Radeon R9 processors. It is also expected that the "4K iMac" will come with OS X El Capitan system.

Apart from these details, there are no other reports about the new 4K iMac. But it is expected that even though it will be in stores by the 13th of October, there won't be a lot of it until November. Also, expect that the "21.5 inch iMac with 4K" will come in a much higher price. The same report also mentions about the iPad Pro and its release next month.

Apple is known for creating the most luxurious, high quality, and expensive devices. As far as the new iMac's performance is concerned, it is expected that it would be nothing but smooth and seamless, like the iMac Retina 5K.
