Heads up to Gundam Fans! The "Mobile Suit Gundam: The Origin" is getting a theatrical event in L.A this coming October 31, 2015. This has been announced by Sunrise Inc on Thursday. The event is in collaboration with Azoland Pictures.
Anime News Network reports that Sunrise Inc and Azoland pictures will have a screening on the "Mobile Suit Gundam: The Origin" first 2 episodes. The venue of the said event will be at the Downtown Independent theater in Los Angeles, California.
The episodes "Blue-Eyed Casval" and "Artesia's Sorrow" of "Mobile Suit Gundam: The Origin" will start the one-time screening at 6 o'clock in the evening. Report says that that "Artesia's Sorrow" will also premiere on October 31 in 15 Japanese theaters. On Feb. 28, 2015, the "Blue-Eyed Casval" had premiered in Japanese theaters but only with limited engagement. The Anime Consortium Japan began a premium paid streaming of the episode with both the Japanese and English dubs on its Daisuki service on the same date.
Fandom post says that the screening of "Mobile Suit Gundam: The Origin" episodes 1 & 2 at Downtown Independent theater in L.A will be with the English language dubbed version for both episodes. It is also reported that the ticket for the Los Angeles theatrical event can now be bought online.
