Renee Zellweger will reprise her role in the upcoming film "Bridget Jones 3," and there are rumors that her character will be pregnant in the movie.
According to Daily Mail, the film will kick off 14 years after "Bridget Jones 2." As the third film's official title suggests, Bridget will indeed be pregnant in the sequel. The same publication released a series of photos from the set of "Bridget Jones Baby" that featured Zellweger donning a fake baby bump.
Meanwhile, Zellweger will be joined by her co-star Colin Firth in the upcoming movie. However, Hugh Grant declined to reprise his role in the film. This is why the producers eventually handed the role to "Grey's Anatomy" alum Patrick Dempsey.
Just recently, fans of the hit ABC series expressed their concern on Dempsey starring in "Bridget Jones 3." According to some of them, this might not be a good move for Dempsey's career because fans are still mourning his character Derek Shepherd's death on the show.
However, the actor said that he's more than ready to do something different, and his upcoming film will be his first step.
"Will I be allowed to do something different? Is Derek so identifiable that I cannot go on and be someone else? That will be the challenge! To see if people embrace me as someone else," he said.
In other news, there were recent rumors that Dempsey's axing from "Grey's Anatomy" also had something to do with his broken relationship with co-star Ellen Pompeo. On the show, Dempsey and Pompeo played the roles of a married couple.
According to Youth Health Mag, the former co-stars' feud started after Pompeo reached out to Dempsey's real life wife about his former affair with a staff. Another reason why Dempsey was axed from the series was reportedly because of his "diva" attitude.
"Bridget Jones 3" is slated for release sometime next year.
