According to Mark David's write up in Variety, a PR gal from Trulia shared that home improvement shows Nate Berkus and Jeremiah Brent have recently shelled out $2.36 million for a 1920s Spanish Revival inspired home atop a hillside and behind the famous Chateau Marmont Hotel in Los Angeles.
The duo, who became a household name when it comes to home decoration and designing, picked a 3,643 square foot, four bedroom and five bathroom residence with, as described in the property listing, "seven unique outdoor areas." It is expected that being interior designers, Berkus and Brent will give their new property an overhaul and renovation that will qualify for a page on a home designing magazine.
The living room has wooden floors, fireplace and coved ceilings. Its dining room opens, through French doors, to a dining deck overlooking a swimming pool, estimated to be in the front corner of the property. It is also presumed that the outdated kitchen, which features innovative influence and style of the Italian architectural firm Superstudio with its terra-cotta tiled floor, rare stone counter tops, dark grouted square white ceramic tile back splashes and expensive appliances will have a share of its changes soon.
Berk us and Brent were married in 2014. They previously rented a house, designed by John Elgin Woolf, in Hollywood Hills and featured in Harper's Bazaar. They have a daughter, Poppy, who is frequently tagged along in photo and video shoots. In 2013, Berkus paid $5.975 million for an apartment house above Washington Square Park on lower Fifth Avenue. The residence, composed of two contiguous apartments and features one bedroom, one bathroom, plus a two bedroom and 2.5 bathrooms duplex penthouse with a slender wrap around terrace, has been featured in the October 2015 issue of the Architectural Digest. Currently, the couple and their daughter are residing in a spacious house in Greenwich Village.
