Popular pop singer and real estate drama queen, Taylor Swift is allegedly home hunting, again! However, this time it's not near an ex boyfriends' home. Swift has decided to invest bountifully in real estate and has notched up her standards a little higher by planning to buy a famous mansion on Rhode island, the 'Harkness House'.
TMZ broke the news about Swift touring the mansion with her family and real estate agent. The Harkness House is an 11,000 square feet mansion that sits on a prime 5.2 acre land. Apparently, the asking price of the home is something above $20 million.
Going by her impulsive home buying near her beaus' home, this move seems to be driven more by investment concerns.
Swift's taste in decorating her interiors has also not been appreciated much. Recently Vanity Fair conducted and interview in Taylor Swift's Nashville apartment, which was described as a "Tim-Burton-Alice in Wonderland-pirate ship-Peter Pan" place. While Gawker.com called it a "horrible- inspired by children" place, Papermag's Abby Schreiber wrote it off as "an awful nursery a hip Clinton Hill couple in my nightmares built for their son, Milo."
Swift is famous for her impulsive buying. The singer purchased or was rumored-to-have-purchased a home near every single guy she dated.
Swift was rumored to have bought a home in Cape Cod in 2012, just near then boyfriend Connor Kennedy's family home. Though property records show that the home was purchased by Swift's real estate managing company, Swift waved it off as a rumor.
After she started dating teenage heartthrob Harry Styles of "One Direction", she again wanted to buy a cottage in the country near his hometown in London. Her last real estate transaction was selling a home in Massachusetts, which was also near Kennedy's home, for a full profit.
Currently, Swift also owns a house in Nashville, which she had bought when she was dating actor, Jake Gyllenhaal. She also owns a property in Beverly Hills' which is very close to John Mayer's residence. She had bought the property in 2011, two years after she broke up with Mayer.
