Marvel's "Daredevil" is one of the most anticipated shows to return to Netflix for season 2 in 2016. With the Kingpin a.k.a. Fish (Vincent D'Onofrio) locked up and gone at least for a while, who will the Daredevil or Matt Murdock (Charlie Cox) be running after?
There is more to the red, black and white artwork on the teaser poster for Daredevil's Season 2. The poster was unveiled by Marvel's artist Joe Quesada and was made available at the New York Comic Con in black-red-white and black and white variants. However, there is more message in that poster than just showing the Daredevil's possible new look. According to Slash Film, there is a peculiar white shape at the background of the poster and it is teasing fans that The Punisher is coming to Hell's Kitchen.
The Punisher is a justice-seeking vigilante that Frank Castle has turned into after witnessing the murder of his wife and child during a mob shooting. According to the Movie Pilot, the vicious ways that the punisher uses to serve justice, the casualties that he brings will contradict with Matt Murdock's understanding of justice as a lawyer.
Introducing The Punisher will bring the new season to a different level of excitement. Unlike Fisk, who the Movie Pilot describes as a calculated villain, Frank Castle is more impulsive, bringing justice to whoever deserves it in very extreme ways. As a man of the law, although a vigilante too himself, he believes he has to put an end to the Punisher's ruthless acts.
Season 2 is going to be another battle between two vigilantes who want to protect their city in conflicting ways. Charlie Cox will reprise his role as Matt Murdock in Season 2. On the other hand, The Punisher or Frank Castle will be played by "The Walking Dead" star Jon Bernthal.
There is no exact date for Daredevil Season 2's premiere yet, but if it follows the same pattern as Season 1 we might see Matt Murdock again in April 2016 on Netflix.
