'Kingdom Hearts 3' Update: Director Teases About Story, Ending, More Playable Characters

There isn't any news about the release date for RPG "Kingdom Hearts III" yet but Square Enix is kind enough to share some small bits of the game. Here are some of the things we can expect from the game so far.

Tetsuya Nomura, Square Enix Director for the Kingdom Hearts series, has revealed through the latest issue of Dengeki PlayStation magazine that the motivation Master Xehanort had for wanting to acquire Kingdom Hearts and Kingdom Hearts will not be revealed until the end of "Kingdom Hearts III," according to KH13.

Next, there is a possibility that there would be more playable characters in the upcoming RPG. But In an interview with GamesTM, when Nomura was asked how many characters would be playable in Kingdom Hearts 3. He replied, "It's a secret but by saying that we imply that maybe something's going on. We can't disclose anything but, maybe, something will happen there."

But other than what Nomura has mentioned, it looks like the developers are very tight-lipped regarding further details for "Kingdom Hearts III." Ben Diskin, who is the actor behind young Master Xehanort in the Square Enix series was careful about spilling anything during a Reddit AMA. Speaking about the upcoming game, he was only able to say, "This is another one of those topics that I can't talk about. Basically, I'm under a non-disclosure agreement for the KH franchise. That means that whether or not I'm going to be in KH 3, I can't talk about it. I can talk about Dream Drop Distance and I can talk A LITTLE about the KH3 trailer. That's it."

Initially, it was speculated that "Kingdom Hearts III" will be released in 2016 but when developer and publisher Square Enix announced the release date of "Kingdom Hearts HD 2.8 Final Chapter Prologue" at the 2015 Tokyo Game Show, fans now suspect that "Kingdom Hearts III" might be released at a much later date.
