Three months after Bobbi Kristina Brown's tragic passing, circumstances surrounding her death can't seem to let her rest in peace. Even while she was still in the hospital, her family has filed a lawsuit against her then boyfriend Nick Gordon, citing him as the cause of her untimely death. New documents of the lawsuit have surfaced last Friday, as acquired by 11alive.com.
According to the document, Gordon allegedly drugged Bobby Brown and Whitney Houston's daughter before she drowned in the bathtub. It reads, "Ms. Brown died due to a violent altercation with Defendant (Gordon) after which he placed her in a bathtub, unconscious, after he injected her with a toxic mixture."
There was no mention as to what the "toxic mixture" consisted of. Bobbi Kristina was found unconscious in her bathtub on Jan. 31. She finally passed on July 26 after being in the state of a medically-induced coma for nearly six months. The lawsuit, which seeks $10 million in damages, also accuses Gordon of abusing Bobbi Kristina verbally and physically, as well as stealing money from her bank account during her hospitalization.
Also listed in the document are questions the Houston-Brown family wants Gordon to answer, including:
- What the alleged argument Gordon had with Bobbi Kristina the night of her accident;
- Gordon's claim that he was Bobbi Kristina's "husband," and
- Why a dust pan was seen in the scene of the accident.
Meanwhile, the Fulton County Medical Examiner Office has reportedly determined the actual cause of Bobbi Kristina's death, but has not yet released the results to the public.
Although Gordon's camp has vehemently denied the charges, Bobbi Kristina's father, Bobby Brown, has maintained his belief that Gordon is to blame for her daughter's demise. According to Hollywood Life, the singer has said, "I look forward to having the Court hear the evidence in the civil lawsuit and hopefully the criminal action very soon."
