Update: Courtney Sale Ross’ Home Officially Lists for $75 Million

Joining the brigade of high-priced properties this week is the large East Hampton estate of Courtney Ross Sale, the widow of former Time Warner CEO Steve J Ross, with an asking price of $75 million.

Sometime in February, brokerbabble had it that Ross was going to list her Hampton estate for the aforementioned price. Apparently, she was searching for a buyer for the property, privately with a pocket listing. However, the estate has hit the open listing market without dropping a dime from its price tag.

According to Real Estalker, the home is located in the area of Georgica Pond, a prosperous 290-acre coastal lagoon, which lies on the western border of Wainscott and East Hampton Village. Steven Spielberg, Kelly Klein and Harry Macklowe are some of the other celebrities who own homes in the area. The house has earned the moniker of "The Cody House", as "Cody" was Steve's nickname.

The listing records state that the estate consists of four parcels that add up to 5.5 acres of land. The main house is a 7500 square feet residence comprising of seven bedrooms and six bathrooms that sits just in front of the pond. A three bedroom guest house sits on one of the parcels. The estate has a kidney-shaped swimming pool as well.

Ross is currently trying to downsize on her real estate profile. Recently, the housing market of New York was set ablaze with news of $52.5 million sale of her 740 Park Avenue apartment in New York. The duplex residence was sold in 2011 to Howard marks, pioneer of Oaktree Capital Management; who also recently sold his Malibu Beach House for $75 million.

Steven J Ross, creator of entertainment giant, Time Warner, passed away in 1992.

In 1991, Courtney Ross founded the Ross Global Academy along with her husband. In 2006, Courtney started the Ross School in East Hampton, New York, which garnered some censure for its bad progress in 2011. She is currently working hard to promote and provide the best of education to disadvantaged students from all over the world.
