"Agents of SHIELD" star Clark Gregg a.k.a. Agent Coulson and TV head of Marvel Jeph Loeb unveiled a new episode of their television show.
Gregg who plays the role of SHIELD Agent Coulson joined Marvel TV head Loeb in introducing the latest episode of their TV series to fans at the New York Comic Con. According to IGN, before the screening of the new installment of "Agents of SHIELD," a question and answer session was done with both Gregg and Loeb answering questions from fans.
The topic of Inhumans seemed to be the crowd favorite to which Gregg discussed what happens when individuals with special powers come out of the woodwork to join the human population. He said the most common reaction of people would be to think about legislation or military action which he added is a topical issue to him.
Loeb replied to one question from a fan who asked whether there will be other latent Inhumans discovered aside from Daisy with the release of Terrigen. The Marvel head answered coyly saying, "We don't know who or what any of our team is," but also mentioned that it will be "exciting" to discover more.
In a report by Entertainment Weekly, the excitement about Inhumans stem from season three's outbreak where ordinary people were given superpowers after getting exposed to Terrigen crystals. This premise should be very familiar to all Marvel fans as the Inhumans are kind of the show's version of mutants just like the X-Men.
When asked about whether SHIELD agents will ever encounter actual mutants in the show, Loeb tried to skip past what the audience wanted to hear. Gregg, on the other hand, was more forthcoming in his response. He said, "We'd like to talk to some mutants, but they're in a terrifying realm. I grew up reading comics about mutants on the subway, but they're in this terrifying copyright zone. Maybe someday we'll live in a peaceful world where all fandoms can interact."
