The group consisting of 23,400 members in which 40% of Japan's gangster population is responsible for operating 44 of Japan's prefectures out of 47.

Numerous Japanese businessmen are involved with the group, which makes them a big contributor in Japan's economy. Their rumored split however will cause a major shake in Japan's economic standings.
As per the website, the group was founded in 1915, in which they used to have an official website and logo, working like a typical corporation. It has 72 affiliate groups which contribute by paying the monthly membership fee. One of the bosses, Kunio Inoue however is starting his own sec pulling out around 3,000 members with him.

During an interview with VICE NEWS, one of the detectives working with the Hygo Police Department informed the news website regarding the dangers that could occur during the gang war.
