"Supernatural" star Jared Padalecki, who plays the role Sam Winchester in the popular TV series, has been living a happily married life with his wife and co-star from the show, Genevieve, along with their two sons. Peek inside the home of the family and see what's special about their house.
Padalecki and his wife live in a Texas lodge which measures 10,600 square feet. They bought the property back in 2012, and according to People, the couple made sure to make their house a kid-friendly home as they planned to raise their two sons there.
According to the report, it was always the actor's dream to live in Austin, which inspired his decision to move to Texas with his wife. "My dream as a child was literally to grow up and live in Austin, as silly as that sounds," Padelecki said in an exclusive interview with People.
For the design of the house, the couple incorporated a country theme with plenty of dark wood but combined with big couches to make the home comfortable and safe especially for their kids. Padalecki reportedly made sure that their house has the feel of an old cabin lodge because he wanted to "feel like I'm a part of nature."
The actor's house also features various memorabilia, the most notable of which is the framed copies of their son's footprints.
According to a separate report from People, Padalecki's favorite part of his house is his home office, which the publication referred to as his "man cave." Padalecki shared that it is his first stop when he comes home, and it is also where he enjoys alone time with a little bourbon and his guitar as he relishes his temporary freedom from his "worldly responsibilities."
Jared and Genevieve met on the set of "Supernatural" when the latter joined the cast as a demon named Ruby in 2009. They became a couple in 2010 and got engaged on the same year, and they eventually tied the knot. Their two sons are named Thomas and Shepherd.
