A new leak has surfaced on Monday about "Super Smash Bros. 4" new downloadable content (DLC). The recently leaked DLC shows various third party characters that are rumored to be included in the popular video game. The leaked details have sparked excitement from both avid fans and players of "Super Smash Bros. 4," a report from iDigital Times said.
"The news of the Shovel Knight Amiibo leaked a few days before it actually dropped, but overall came as a pretty big surprise. Nothing like that had ever happened before -- an Amiibo directly released by a third party! It was shocking news. But at the time, many of us expected that the promised news leak would actually be Shovel Knight as a DLC character for Super Smash Bros. That news has yet to manifest," the report said.
A Twitter user named Wario64 has posted a screenshot of what appears to be official Nintendo Amiibo pages. It was said that the screenshot confirms the rumor that the most wanted "Shovel Knight" playable character will be coming to the "Super Smash Bros. 4" video game. A follow-up report also disclosed that the game is expected to come out this coming yuletide season. However, it should be noted that Nintendo has yet to announce the game's official release date.
Upon learning about the leaked screenshot, Nintendo reportedly immediately deleted the web page. Yacht Club Games, developer of "Shovel Knight," has also reportedly dismissed the rumor. Thus, players are advised to take the recent rumor with a "grain of salt" unless Nintendo confirms the news.
"Among the most requested characters expected to appear as DLC for 'Super Smash Bros. 4' include Dixie Kong and King K. Rool, both from 'Donkey Kong Country,' Isaac from 'Golden Sun;' Inkling from 'Splatoon;' and Ridley from 'Metroid,'" Christian Today reports.
